Three communities, one philosophy.
Every 5D community shares the same arrangement: private homes you own, ringed around common ground and a common house at the center. Climate, landscape and local character shape the rest.
How a community is arranged.
Homes face inward across shared ground, close enough that you notice one another and far enough apart that you are not living in anyone's pocket. The common house sits at the center, roughly a minute's walk from every front door.

Where we are building.
-
CONCEPT
Phoenix, Arizona
Our first community, designed for the desert rather than in spite of it. Deep overhangs and shaded courtyards, homes oriented to avoid the western sun, drought adapted landscape, and outdoor space built for the months when Phoenix is the best place in the country to be.

-
CONCEPT
Colorado
Mountain light and long views, with homes built for real winters. Heavier insulation, generous south facing glass, covered walks between the homes and the common house, and interiors designed for the months when the gathering happens indoors.

-
CONCEPT
Kansas
Open sky and generous land, which buys more space per resident than either of the other two. Room for a working garden, a broader commons, and the kind of horizon you cannot buy back once it is gone.

FUTURE
Where we build next
We are tracking where people are asking us to build. If you want a 5D community near you, tell us. Interest in a region is the single biggest factor in what we take on next.
Renderings are coming.
Join the list and we will send the drawings for each community as they are finished.
No more than one note a month. Your address stays with us.
